Bio & CV
Susan Seaborn is a painter based in Denton, Texas. After a career in computers and languages, and a break in there to raise a couple of boys, she graduated with a BFA in Studio Art in May, 2020 from the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She has studied with Christian Fagerlund, Matthew Bourbon, Annette Lawrence, Elaine Pawlowicz and other wonderful faculty. Her art was most recently seen at RO2 Gallery in Dallas at the Chaos! show, at Denton's Anna Street Studios "Art Friends" group exhibition, and at the Denton Maker's Fest 2022.
Ms. Seaborn paints and in her spare time curates four shows a year at Anna Street Studios in Denton, Texas. In addition to the B.F.A. in Studio Art degree, she has 18 hours towards an MFA in Studio Art, which she intends to finish at some point; an M.A. in Italian Studies; a B.A. in Spanish and a B.S. in Computer Science. Voertman's Student Competition, Honorable Mention
2018 UNT College of Visual Arts and Design Student Project Funding Award, “Speak with your Hands: Gestures in Modern Italian Life”. Funding to assist in research of Italian gestures and production of a series of monotypes during a study abroad in Italy. The results of this project were presented to an audience of studio art and Italian language students at UNT in Fall, 2018.
